At The Beauty House we believe in the power of sugar, which is the main ingredient in our sugar paste! Sugaring is 100% natural and the safest way to remove unwanted hair and is perfectly safe for those who have eczema, psoriasis, varicose veins or people with dry skin. Sugaring can be performed on all skin types, different textures of hair, men and women. Sugaring is a safe and natural hair removal method. The paste is simply made of sugar, lemon and water which is applied onto hair from the root without ever pulling the skin.

  • Do not apply any facial/body creams or deodorant to the area to be sugared the day of your appointment.
  • We recommend timing your appointments outside of your period cycle, as you may be more sensitive at this time.
  • Avoid direct heat such as hot baths, or sun tanning the day of your appointment.
  • Do not shave for 2-3 weeks prior to appointment, sugaring requires the hair to be at least 2-3mm long.

Waxing is a type of hair removal that uses warmed wax and swift action to remove hair from the hair follicle, either soft or hard wax is used depending on the area.

  • Please make sure to gently exfoliate the desired wax area.
  • Do not shave for 2-3 weeks prior to appointment, the hair must be long enough to wax, minimum of 3-4mm.
  • Loose and clean clothing is required after, please come prepared to maximal comfort after your appointment.

In threading, a thin cotton thread is doubled and then twisted. It is rolled over areas of the unwanted hair which pluck out the hair at the root level.

  • Avoid exfoliating your skin the day of your appointment as it can cause extra sensitivity.
  • Load up on water, hydration is key to make your skin less sensitive before your appointment.
